Learn the fundamentals of Drum Fills
Drum Fills 1.0 is a video course I designed specifically for beginner to early intermediate drummers, to learn how to perform drum fills confidently and with ease. The course will take you through three areas to developing your skills to play fills: Understanding, Applying, and Creating.
In the Understanding stage, we'll break down what drum fills are, how we can use them and why/where we play them in music. In the Application stage, you'll learn 14 different drum fills that start simple and gradually increase in complexity as your skill level grows. In the Creating stage, we'll learn several conceptual tools that will help you develop your own fills. So instead of me teaching you 100 fills - I'll give you the tools so that you can create an infinite amount of drum fills.
Understand
This is the foundation. We'll start by understanding what exactly drum fills are, how to learn them and why we use them in music. Once we understand drum fills, we can then be confident in executing them in a musical way.
Apply
Once we understand the fundamentals of drum fills - it's time to practice and apply. We'll start with simple fills and gradually go to more complex fills as your skill level rises. The fills are written out on screen and in included PDF's so you can clearly understand them.
Create
Once we have several fills under our belt, it's time to make our own. We'll go through several easy to understand tools that you can use when creating your own drum fills on the spot. You won't need to memorize drum fills if you can create them on the spot. From there, the possibilities are infinite.

I've toured the U.S. with the funk/soul band "The Nightowls" and spent four months in Europe touring with Scott Bradlee's "Postmodern Jukebox on Deck". I've been performing and teaching drums for over 12 years and am currently based in Los Angeles, CA. Through my professional performing, touring and recording experience, I've gained a plethora of real world gigging knowledge that I packed into this course to help other drummer's be successful at learning to play drum fills in a musical way.
